La Centrifugeuse, Pau
La Centrifugeuse is the cultural service of the University of Pau. The venue can accomodate concerts, theatre, exhibition and using the outdoor spaces of the campus even festivals. www.la-centrifugeuse.com
International Voluntary
I was the videographer during the season 2019/2020, being in charge to film the festivals and the performances. My videos were teasers and aftermovies, they were used on Social Media.
Learning new skills
I could experiment with various softwares and techniques. That was my first time when I could dive into concerts and entertainment industry as a videographer and audiovisual technician.
Ampli, Billere
A 400-seat concert hall, with a bar area and studios for rehearsing and recording. Ampli organized musical sessions for children in schools. www.ampli.asso.fr
Working during the pandemic
My project was during the pandemic, but we managed to execute two grand schemes. One was the ‘Des mots et des rythmes – Action Culturelle’, which was a series of musical sessions including writing lyrics, singing and instrumentation in the local school to create one collective song together.
The another project was the SuperSoul Brothers’ full concert. Due to the pandemic the bands could not perform in public, so Ampli gave space for that, where I got to plan the shooting, I filmed and edited the concert.
Carnaval Biarnés
Carnaval Biarnés de Pau is one of the five largest carnivals in mainland France and its festivities last for a week. It is the feast of Occitania with more than 50000 participants.
Videography
I had the opportunity to make the short aftermovie of the feast. Due to the pandemic, the next year it could not be held, but OCtélé, the Occitan television channel made a live broadcasting at Ampli, where my aftermovie was aired in television. Very proud and exciting moment in my life.
Parade and Concerts
I participated as a cameraman at the festivity during the grand marching across the town and at the concerts during the night.
